Lowther Fine Furniture launches the Aero Desk at Design Interiors 2008

January 10th, 2008: Aero Desk Lowther Fine Furniture will be launching their 'Aero Desk' at Design Interiors 2008 at the NEC on 20-23 January.

Designed and hand crafted by Matthew Rodgers, Lowther Fine Furniture's chief designer, the idea for the Aero Desk came directly from Matthew's former work in Formula 1 racing car design.

The top of the Aero Desk is immediately striking due to its aerofoil shape; one that epitomises F1. The greatest engine power will not win a race if the car cannot stay held down to the track. The aerofoil is central to the F1 car design, giving it the downforce it needs, and this interesting and quite complex shape was direct inspiration for Matthew's Aero Desk design.

As with an F1 car, the Aero Desk has many delicate, subtle and fine details that are only found the more you look at, use and live with it; the complex and changing bevelled edges being just one example. Come and see for yourself, Lowther Fine Furniture will be at stand A96A in Hall 6 (Design Interiors) at the NEC, 20-23 January 2008. Alternatively, call 01409 241583 for more information.
